Located on historic Banyan Drive near Liliuokalani Gardens, this classic hotel still retains the authentic Hawaiian charm and aloha spirit reflecting Hilo’s heart and soul. Refreshed, air-conditioned accommodations offer a refrigerator, coffee maker, flat screen TV, and private lanai (most). Whisky Steak Wine (WSW) The Steakhouse at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel is the only true steakhouse in Hilo. It features first-class steaks, an array of seafood, the best wine list in East Hawai’i, and a table-side Whisky Cart experience.
Located on the lobby level, WSW The Steakhouse offers stunning views overlooking Hilo Bay. The menu features a wide selection of locally sourced produce and appetizers, Prime Grade or Premium Certified Black Angus steaks & chops, seafood, salads, sides and desserts. Daily specials and weekly features are available and include The Surf & Turf on Monday, a Wagyu Grade Tomahawk Tuesday and Wednesday Live Kona-Cold Whole Lobster. WSW also features an impressive list of exclusive fine wines and whiskies, with wines not found elsewhere in the state and whiskies from around the world. A floor-to-ceiling walk-around glass display showcases the restaurant’s worldly selections of wines and spirits. The display also houses a signature Whisky Cart, from which hand-picked selections will be poured table-side to the delight of guests.
WSW is led by Hilo Hawaiian Hotel Food & Beverage Director Gregory Arianoff, Executive Chef Dean Otake and Chef De Cuisine Jason Soriano. It is open daily for dinner from 5 to 9 p.m.
